MISSION

Major U.S.-flag vessel operators are represented on Capitol Hill by the American Maritime Officers Service (AMOS). AMOS serves companies operating ships under contract with American Maritime Officers, providing effective advocacy and a leading voice about legislative and regulatory issues and policies that matter most to the U.S.-flag shipping industry. AMOS works to protect and promote U.S. cabotage laws and the other cornerstones of maritime policy, foster a better understanding of the U.S.-flag maritime industry and undertake studies of issues affecting the industry.
